In an effort to allow schools additional time to develop the Emergency
Action Plan as mandated by the NCHSAA Board of Directors, the deadline for
completion and filing has been extended to February 15, 2009. By that date,
the plan should be completed, shared with all athletic staff and other
persons important to the emergency care process for students. REMEMBER: The
plans do not have to be mailed to the NCHSAA.
For your assistance, we have included on the sports medicine page on the
website the Verification Form, guidelines for plan development, and an
example of a plan developed by one school system.
