CHARLOTTE -- The Myers Park High School men's soccer team and the American Cancer Society will engage in a combined effort this week.
The Mustangs' varsity soccer team will take on South Mecklenburg on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Myers Park's Gus Purcell Stadium in what is being billed "Pink At The Park."
Players will be wearing pink, provided by the Blumenthal Cancer Center, and donations will be accepted at the game to go toward funding cancer research. The fans of both schools are encouraged to wear pink in support of cancer awareness.
The NCHSAA salutes Myers Park for its "Pink At The Park" effort to give to the community.
