SOUTHWEST GUILFORD ROLLS UP RUSHING YARDAGE
Southwest Guilford's running attack was potent on Friday night as the Cowboys rolled up 553 yards on the ground in 57 attempt. The Cowboys outgunned Glenn 54-46 in an offensive shootout.
Although the rushing mark is not a state record, it qualifies as a tie for 18th in the all-time listing. The listed team rushing record in a single game in The NCHSAA Record Book is 745 by South Columbus in 1998.
