A number of North Carolina High School Athletic Association softball coaches have been honored with induction into the North Carolina Softball Hall of Fame.
The coaches were recognized during activities at the North Caroilna Coaches Association clinic in Greensboro.
Among the five coaches in the inaugural class are former South View High School softball coach Eddie Dees, Gerald Binkley of Chatham Central, Monte Sherrill of Alexander Central, Mike Lambros of North Davidson and Eddie “Pop” Rivers of Marshville Forest Hills.
