Boykin sets new WBB NCHSAA record

Mikayla Boykin is no stranger to the spotlight and Monday night in her Clinton Dark Horses game against Triton she once again took center stage.

Boykin took down the NCHSAA Women's Basketball record for points in a single game as she put up 62 points in a 104-53 victory over Triton. The effort took down the record of 61 points set by Shea Ralph from Terry Sanford in a 1996 game against Pine Forest.

Just seven games into her final year at Clinton, Boykin is averaging 45 points a game as well as 12.1 rebounds a contest and 7.6 steals a game. The 5' 9" senior is committed to play at Duke next year.
