APEX—One of the new schools that will be joining the North Carolina High School Athletic Association has turned to a veteran coach to be its first women’s basketball coach, according to a report in the Raleigh News and Observer.
Scott Campbell is returning to coaching, having been named the new coach at Apex Friendship High School. He led the women’s program at Apex High for 23 years and developed a very strong program there.
Campbell will be a non-faculty coach and hopes to add to his 462 career victory total.
