Two North Carolina Schools Move Into Top 25 in USA Today Poll

         Two North Carolina High School Athletic Association schools have broken into the Super 25 women’s basketball rankings by USA Today.

         Myers Park and Northwest Guilford are now both listed in the poll, among eight new teams joining the rankings this week.

         Myers Park, which had been ranked 39th, moved up to 11th with a 62-58 victory over New Hope Christian Academy of Thomasville, which at the time was the sixth-ranked team.  Aliyah Mazyck led the way for the winners with 15 points.

         Northwest Guilford is now in at the number 20 slot.

         Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia), the No. 1 team in the rankings, stayed there by going 3-0 for the week.
