East Chapel Hill Names Holderman As New Head Football Coach

CHAPEL HILL—Mike Holderman has been selected as the new head football coach at East Chapel Hill High School, according to various media reports including HighSchoolOT.com and the Chapel Hill News.

Holderman comes to East Chapel Hill from New Hampshire, as he has been the head coach at Kennet High School in North Conway there for the last four years. He has 14 years of experience as a coach at both the high school and college levels.

The new East Chapel Hill coach grew up in eastern Pennsylvania, playing high school football at Hazelton Area High School, and then played collegiately at Delaware Valley College, where he later served on the football staff.

Holderman will take over for Jon Sherman, who has taken a position on the staff at Douglas Byrd in Fayetteville and is the third head football coach at the school in the last three years. The Wildcats were 3-8 a year ago.
