Former A.C. Reynolds Athletic Standout Excelling In Another Career

ASHEVILLE—Former A.C. Reynolds High School athletic star and University of North Carolina football standout Chase Rice is releasing his next full-length country music album, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Rice’s new album “Ignite The Night” will come out August 19, which is significant because that was the birthday of his father Daniel, who passed away in 2008 at the age of 57.

Rice graduated from A.C. Reynolds in 2004 after playing in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas for the North Carolina team. The Rockets were 14-1 his senior season, and he went on to be an excellent linebacker at UNC.

He is a member of the A.C. Reynolds Athletics Hall of Fame.

Rice is currently on the road with Dierks Bentley, Chris Young and Jon Pardi on the Riser Tour, which runs through the end of September.
