TAYLORSVILLE—A veteran softball head coach has reached a major milestone.
Monte Sherrill of Alexander Central High School recently notched his 700th career victory, according to various media reports including a story on studentsports.com.
Sherrill has accumulated those victories against just 59 losses, an amazing winning percentage. His team at Alexander Central won the 2013 NCHSAA state 4-A championship with a record of 33-1.
