MITCH COMPLETES PHENOMENAL YEAR FOR WAKEFIELD

RALEIGH— Wakefield quarterback Connor Mitch has completed one of the top seasons ever by a North Carolina passer and has earned several performance listings in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book.

Mitch completed a whopping 306 passes on the season, good for third place on the all-time list, and his 503 attempts is fourth all-time.

His yardage total for the season was 4,661, which is second only to Chris Leak of Charlotte Independence, who threw for the state record of 5,193 yards during the 2002 season and now has three of the top four season totals. With 63 touchdown passes for the season, Mitch is third all-time in that yearly category.

The Wakefield quarterback’s favorite target, Jordan Fieulleteau, also had earned some places in the record book. His total of 111 receptions on the season and 25 touchdown catches are both third all-time, and his yardage total for the season of 1,669 is sixth on the NCHSAA list.
