Davie High Track Coach Daric Beiter Dies Suddenly

DAVIE TRACK COACHBEITER DIES

MOCKSVILLE—Daric Beiter, the track and cross country coach at Davie County High School, died suddenly on Friday morning, the day he turned 37.

According to the Winston-Salem Journal, Mike Absher, the athletics director at Davie, said that Beiter’s wife, Michelle, found her husband unresponsive early Friday and that EMS personnel were unable to resuscitate him.

Beiter coached and taught history at Davie starting in 1999. A native of Homer, N.Y., he was the chair of Davie’s history department and the school’s teacher of the year for the 2009-10 academic year.
