Media Encouraged To Nominate Football Coaches

Members of the media in North and South Carolina are encouraged to nominate igh school football coaches in their area in the Carolina Panthers Coach of the Week program.

The Carolina Panthers will select a coach for each week of the high school football season with the winning coach receiving Panthers memorabilia as well as a $1,000 donation from the Panthers and the National Football League to the school’s athletic program.

All head coaches in the state of North and South Carolina are eligible regardless of their schools size, league or division. Coaches are evaluated on factors including the coach’s impact on his team, school and community.

The kickoff of the 2005 Panthers football season marks the ninth year of the Carolina Panthers High School Coach of the Week program. On December 11th when the Panthers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all of the 2005 winners will be in attendance for an on-field ceremony with the Coach of the Year winner announced during this time. The Coach of the Year recipient will receive $2,000 from the Carolina Panthers and the NFL to be used for their football program.
